Hello Miles, and welcome to Seven Forums.
The VHD may be just be corrupted. Try creating and attaching a VHD again to see if it may work this time. It also seems that after you restart the computer, the VHD will no longer be attached and display in Computer anymore.
Hope this helps some,
Shawn
it isn't even attached, the file exists but won't show up in the management window. So the file is taking up 250 Gb of space and I can't do anything with it.
Miles,
Will it let you right click on the VHD and click on Delete in Windows Explorer to delete it?
well, I tried that earlier and it said it was in use, I assumed by windows. However, I just tried again to see what was using it and it went away, problem solved.
Thanks guys,
Jay
That's great news Jay. It probably was just a process hanging up still from when you were trying to attach when trying to delete it earlier. :)
