Stutter when using joystick for gaming

Hello everyone that is willing to help :)

Last couple of days a problem has occurred: when playing games on Win7 64bit (NBA, FIFA..) I have used PS2 joysticks with a convertor for gaming for over a year and they played perfectly smooth, and recently out of nowhere, no updates or nothing, game stutters have appeared until I press a button on a wireless keyboard (generic Logitech keyboard and mouse combo)... I came to this conclusion by accident, and after the key press game runs smooth again for a while, and the stutter returns...

So far I have tried rebooting the PC and unplugging and plugging back in again both the keyboard and PS2 joystick converter from the USB slots with no results.

Anyone has any ideas what could cause this problem?

Cheers for any kind of help you guys!

i would try first seeing if there are any updated drivers for that joystick. Try going to the devices mfrs. site to see if there are any for it. If not, try uninstalling the current driver and reinstalling it. Also, can you possibly upload and post any event logs from the event viewer?

Hey mate, thanx for the reply!
Well joystick drivers were installed automatically by Win7 -just plug and play-, so I have no idea which drivers am I supposed to update... Device and Printers menu just reads "Dual USB vibration controller"
And there are no crashes during gameplay, just that annoying stutter, and after I press any key on the keyboard everything returns to normal, so I don't know how to make an "event log", but I would be more than happy to upload one, just need to know how to create it.
I've just found out that in Device manager, there is no driver installed for SM Bus Controller. How do I figure out which driver to download for it, automatic driver installation cannot find it. Could maybe that be a reason for stutter?

Edit: I have installed SM Bus controller drivers, but same stutter problem persists.. I have also tried disabling screensaver and disabling idle AV scanning and still nothing!
