It may not be accurate, but at least it gives everybody somthing to compare to. Do you know of an accurate system rating program or do you use multiple programs?

I do not know of any accurate system tool. Honestly I just look for new items to tweak my system to make it faster and do more of what I use the PC for. Today I was checking out the new Radeon 6990 video card but did not feel like shelling out the $700 price tag. I was intending on getting a second Galaxy GTX 480 as they were on sale and had an $80 rebate taking the price down to $299. I was told they were all sold out but did get a rain check.

    7.7

The SSD's make a world of difference; think I'll wait until a while before buidling another rig... Windows 8 and i8's?

Plenty fast enough for the time being very afordable with second hand i7's too.

    Some cool system tools include:

    CPUID CPU-Z
    CPUID HWMonitor
    MSI Afterburner

Yeah, that is because of the hard drive being a hard drive. No matter if it's in a RAID 0,1, or 5, or a 10,000 RPM drive with 64 MB cache, it's simply not going to be higher than 5.9 in WEI. The only way to get a higher rating is switching to solid state drives.

The reason I guess why is because Microsoft might have ulterior motives with vista/7 and trying to promote the use of SSDs because it's super uber faster than any hard drive. And also, Windows performs quite quickly with a SSD than a hard drive.

I wish I have an 80 GB Intel X18-M. According to a HD benchmark tool, it's about three times faster than my two ordinary 7500 rpm harddisks. But Windows 7 doesn't boot any faster, and my experience index is... tadaaa.... 5.9

Wow For comparison, here is my lame Intel SSD (on the left). This shows that not all SSDs are made equal.

I am stuck with 5.9 for my primary hard disk even loading WOW it can be a bit sluggish at times, I'm sure a SSD would be a better choice but just bought a GTX OC 460 so maybe next month.
