PC significantly slower after removing bad RAM (8GB -> 6GB)

Hey

I recently decided to completely clean up my PC because the CPU and GPU temperatures were a bit high. So I cleaned fans, graphics card, changed CPU thermal paste etc.. Then after reassembling everything back together my PC would boot but it wasn't showing anything, just a blank screen. So after a lot of testing of checking whether everything was put in the correct place, i found out that one of my RAM sticks was causing the problem. I removed it and then my PC was booting just fine. (Btw in the process of testing I removed the CMOS battery and my BIOS settings were reset, so I had to change the RAM voltages again)

After all that my PC is really slow right now. Even for simple tasks like opening a browser or watching an HD movie on VLC, it lags a lot. I tried lots of different things to get it fixed. I'm 99% sure that my BIOS settings are exactly the same as they were before.

So I would appreciate if I could get any help from you guys! I attached some screenshots as well!

The Problem Might Be Cause Because Of Recent Change Who Have Made By Removing Your RAM.
Your Operating System Is Compatible With 8 GB RAM Not 6 GB RAM.


1.Try To Reset Your BIOS Setting To Default.

2.If It Doesn't Work Then Try To Remove Unwanted Junk File(Use Advance System Care Or C CLEANER) And Defragment Your Hard Disk.

3. If This Also Doesn't Work Install New Operating System By Formating Existing One,Remember To Take Your BackUp Of Important Document And Files.



Your Problem Might Be Because Of Incompatibility Between Hardware And Operating System.

Could you post a screen shot of this?

I never thought that three sticks of RAM would make it run in single mode. That could actually be the problem. In the meantime, I attached the screenshot you asked.

I formatted my PC two months ago and it was running just fine until i removed the 1 stick of ram. So that's definitely a hardware issue rather than software.

I removed the other stick of RAM that was sitting on the dual mode. Now only slots #3 and #4 are being used. But unfortunately the PC is still slow. No way near the performance I was getting before i removed the bad RAM. I'm guessing a problem with the motherboard or BIOS settings are messed up.

@Britton30 I can't get a warranty because the store I purchased the PC has closed 2 years ago
