ok will do...
Son's computer ran a disk check on reboot and fixed the errors. Computers are still slow, especially mine. I wait 5-10 seconds when i right click for the menu to appear. Son's computer is much quicker, seems to fine to me, but he reckons it is slow.
Could you post the specs and the games he plays? His hardware may not be fast enough to play his games.
His computer Specs are:
Intel Core i5 650 3.2GHz
4.00GB Memory
1TB Hard Drive
Geforce GT 430
Games he plays are thru Steam, He says the big one is S.T.A.L.K.E.R, some others are Team Fortress, Skyrim, StarCraft. He has 43 games installed on steam.
Maybe this will be helpful. It's a great tutorial by Brink.
All things probable won't be needed but it would be good to read the complete tutorial and ask questions if needed before preforming the task your are not sure about.
Pay close attention to #8.
Optimize Windows 7
Used a couple of those optimizing tips, and its improved my sons computer, its much more responsive now. I won't tell him about his computer being on the slow side for games. He will just beg me for a new computer.
TY for suggestion Layback Bear.
Gonna try this on my computer too.
My brother told me to run a scan with malwarebytes and it found some malware, so removed it. And along turning off some visual effects, computer now runs smoothly.
