Came across the screenshot below whilst running a virtual machine (VMware), and using RDP (to a remote Server). Any ideas?
Can you post a screenshot of the performance tab of Task Manager?
To access task manager, right click on an empty area of the taskbar and select Start Task Manager.

I have just installed a new 7950, and every time i start a game, about 5 mins in, I get a pop up asking if I want to change the color scheme to windows basic. As soon as I check the box to keep as it is, all is fine. This never happened with my old gpu, the 7850, why would this be happening now ?
I have an i7-975, 12gb of ram and dual 5970s but my computer keeps changing the color scheme.
anyone found a registry hack to disable its checksum I cant find it anywhere.
watch the one good thing about windows 8 be that you can disable the notifications.
I have the same problem that most people do I just am really tired of it messing up my games! When playing a game Windows pops up and say do to performance windows switched to basic and of coarse I always press (don't show this again option) but guess what!!!! The next game play after restart there...
When i close at least one game out (BC2...maybe others too) i sometimes get a mesaage with 3 options. One of them says "keep the current color scheme and don't show this message again". Problem is, it DOES show that message again.....and again and again etc etc. How can i stop it from appearing...
This seems like something that should have a simple solutions so I feel dumb for having to ask. How do you change the color scheme for the explorer folders? I see mostly white and the bar at the top is a light blue. I've seen images of where people had dark grey, black, and a couple other colors....
