Running disc cleanup on ssd

Good day to all.
Been looking in google for some info regarding running Disc Cleanup ans scannow/sfc.
Would I be correct in thinking Yes to running those programs on a SSD.Windows 7 home premium

Sure---why not?

SSDs don't differ from HDDs in any respect that would be pertinent to Disk Cleanup or SFC.

Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1

It is not recommended not to defrag a SSD. I have done it with no ill effects, but probably shouldn't do it regularly.

Hi, I ran a disc cleanup a couple of days after I got my new PC and there is approx 1gb of material which it is showing as files for removal which I think are mostly system files. Is it safe to delete all of this content ? Advise appreciated. Thanks Andy

Are Windows 7 Disc Cleanup & Defrag Tools Enough?
I have my opinion, but I'm looking for others :geek:. Do you think a W7 machine, using IE9 as the only browser, that is maintained only by the on-board Disc Cleanup, Defrag and IE9 Browser Maintenance tool, will run as well as the same machine maintained with CCleaner, and a 3rd party defragger...

USB problems after using Disc Cleanup
I installed SP1 and everything was just fine (for months). Then I used "Disk Cleanup" to remove the SP1 installation files and other temporary files. After a few restarts, I got some USB problems. Peripherals started to work at USB 1 speed. Here's how the USB section of the Device Manager...
