10 minute hang-up after logging on
I've tried searching for similar problems for many hours unsuccessfully, so I hope this isn't a common problem and I'm just really bad with Google.
Every time I log on to my computer from hibernation/restart/etc it runs well for 10-15 minutes. Then with no discernible (to me) trigger, it will hang-up for anywhere from 10-15 minutes. During this time I can move the mouse, scroll webpages, occasionally do some typing, but if I try to open a new webpage it will just give me a blue wheel. If I open a new tab in my already-open webpage the tab will open, but it will be blank (as opposed to loading the home screen for the tab). If I'm watching a youtube video, the video will continue playing but will stop downloading. If I click on a link the page will go solid white and occasionally my browser will become "unresponsive." If I try to open a folder the outline of the box will open, but none of the content/subfolders will display. After the 10-15 minutes, my computer catches up and loads all the actions I performed while it was hung up. Once it does this I can have my computer on for days and never experience the problem, but if I log off, hibernate, or restart, it happens again. I've tried multiple spyware/adware/malware cleaners, antivirus, startup tools to no avail. My sfc yields a long log that I have trouble interpreting, but it does say there are multiple files that are corrupt but unable to be fixed.
I'm thinking it must be something in the startup process, but I have no idea how to approach it. Any ideas? I've just lived with the problem for a while now, but lately it's really been bothering me.
(Sorry if this is in the wrong subforum, I couldn't decide what this would fall under.)
Thanks!
