Windows 7: dllhost.exe comp surrogate using large amounts of memory

31 May 2014   #1

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
dllhost.exe comp surrogate using large amounts of memory

since 11pm there have been around 30 to 50 dllhost processes listed in the task manager.

before this, I was having problems with ads playing in the background with no visible cause
i cannot remember what happened next, but I do know my computer started to run very slowly making it near impossible to do anything

i restarted with safe mode and ran a scan that eliminated some malware on my computer, but it did not solve the problem

i dont even know if this is being caused by malware

malwarebytes is blocking

im not really sure what to do next, could someone please point me in the right direction?
