How do I test ram using MepamTest86+?

As many people say, they test each individual RAM for 7-10 hours and paired (testing both rams). Is this how you're suppose to test your ram?

How do you test your ram to ensure that it's not defective?

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM.

       Note
Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

    Which do I use?

PRESS F1 for FAIL SAFE MODE
    PRESS F2 for MULTI-THREADING (SMF)

In that case, I have it running on default (f1 failsafe mode) and I don't feel comfortable running memtest86+ for many hours. The cpu temp reads 75C.

    OK, one more time,

Will you please do everyone a favor and fill in your specs correctly.

System Info - See Your System Specs

You don't need to bookmark it, just run the tool and fill in the blanks.

Your OS says "California" it should say Windows 7 (Version & bit)

You also have something Sony listed but are now talking about a Dell.

Fill in as much as you can so we don't have to ask every time, it will show at the bottom left of every one of your posts.

I have many laptop around the house including apple mac book. It doesn't let me include more than one laptop on my profile. I will try to think of a solution on how to include another laptop in my system spec profile. Perhaps I enter it under (Other Info)?

I will update tomorrow when am back from sleeping.

    Thank you'

Edit: I am using the latest version memtest86+
