Computer was working fine 3 days ago now keeps crashed on startup

A few days ago, my computer was working fine, I had no problems.
But yesterday, I tried to boot up, and as usual, took me to the login screen. I log in and everything is horrible. the mouse is lagging and jerks around, the bar with the start button doesn't respond, and initially everything was just extremely slow. I tried to open my antivirus to run a scan to try to find a problem, but everytime I click on something the computer freezes and doesn't register that I tried to open a program. So I restarted the computer and tried to wait a bit to let it catch up before I try to do anything but after a few seconds it just bluescreens. I've tried going into the boot settings and using the last good configuratoin, but that didn't help. The only thing I can think of to do is completely reinstall Windows and I'd rather not do that. I guess it wouldn't be too horrible as everything that I can think of that I really care about keeping is also saved to cloud storage, but I would still rather not have to reinstall everything I have as well.

Has anyone else had similar problems and can I fix it without completely reinstalling Windows?

    Welcome to the forums!

Did you boot into safe mode to run antivirus there? Are you seeing the bad behavior in safe mode also? Hopefully not.
Alternatively, boot to your repair disc (CD). You have one, right?
Finally, do you have access to another computer you can use? You could pull the drive on the 1st computer and repair the software on the second computer (accessing the drive as as an external device).

Yep ditto as soho says mate and you can try this too
Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 you will need to be able to make the bootable disk but it will scan from power up so is scanning through the boot.
