"Tuning Windows Media Encoding" is the step that it crashes on when I overclock my Radeon 5850. Like I said earlier, games run fine and the card isn't overheating (Crysis, Far Cry 2, Unigine Heaven Bench). I've heard the Heaven w/Tessellation is tough test for overclocked videocards and it runs fine. The crash locks up the desktop and requires me to hit the reset button on the pc. Is there anything I'm missing here, is it just something I shouldn't worry about? CPU is overclocked as well (see system specs), but I don't have any problems with that step at default 5850 clock speeds.

Thanks! I've been reading for a while but never bothered registering. I consider this site the best source for 7 info.

What kind of hard drive do you have? I assume it's in RAID? 7.9 is insane!

I wonder if that score is accurate. I have never seen a rotational drive get past 5.9.
