Hey Submarine, do you have AHCI enabled in the BIOS; you should be getting a 7.8 for that SSD.
AHCI : Enable in Windows 7 / Vista
No, this is a major issue I have. As I am running in nVidia 680i, I have no AHCI. Further to this, my motherboard run nForce controllers on all SATA ports, and I do not think this is possible to change. My SSD shows up as a SCSI and Intel Toolbox reports it cannot run because it does not work on RAID. All wrong. Unless someone know more about this, I do not think there is anything I can do about it. Except install the SSI on a PSI card perhaps. Have to study this option closer.
No sir I haven't maybe you can look around in the Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums forum.
Yea my HP 311 mini has the same issue with nforce controllers/drivers, im having to use the default dual channel ata drivers from microsoft, just to get trim support.
Here is mine. Pretty good for a $650 laptop I guess? Haha :)
Ran fresh today, but hasn't changed since I installed 64-bit Home Premium:
Hey Spidey, I see we have very similar RAM, except I only have 2GB as opposed to your 8GB....
What model RAM do you have exactly? I'm using the 2x1GB XMS2-DHX PC-6400... I have to ask, how did you get 7.1 from your RAM, overclocked by any chance?
Edit: Heh... Don't worry, I see now from your post here that there's no OC. Wow... That is seriously impressive. I really need to up my RAM then. Lol.
