Just finished upgrading from an XfX 750i SLI, 8GB DDR2, Core2 Quad. Kept the 260's an added 9500 GT for PhysX. Grabed the Intel X25-M Solid State Drive ,EVGA Motherbord, Intel i7 930 processor and a couple other odds and ends. Love ya Tiger, But Newegg beat you by more than 200 bucks. Up and running for about 3 hours now. It's fast Im happy.

Here is my WEI after installing the Intel X25-M on an ASUS U3S6 card instead of directly to the Mobo. An increase from 7.4 to 7.6.

    Hello Submarine.

I can't remember, did we (you and I) discuss this before?

I know that what I'm about to ask will display my ignorance but none-the-less I can't find the answer.

Why does the WEI give a different score for the same hard drive on different PCs? Isn't it just testing the drive alone or are other factors involve, eg RAM etc?

I think all is fine. AHCI is running on the ASUS cards own BIOS. The start value in the register is "0", I have the MS AHCI 1.0 SATA Controller in the Device Manager and "fsutil ... DisableDeleteNotify " returns a zero.
