    Bare Foot Kid,

I did as you advised, however, it went down again to 1.0, still the subscore is from my processor. I'll try to reset and re-run the assessment one more time.. I really don't know what's going on.. I think I'll have to re-install windows7 again if it won't work this time.. Thanks for helping, though.

hehe we have almost similar scores...

    Athlon II X4 630 7.2 | Phenom X4 925 7.3
    4GB Kingston 1333MHz DDR3 7.3 | 4GB GSkill 1600MHz DDR3 7.3 (looks like score counts memory size and not clock)
    MSI R5770 HAWK 7.4 7.4 | EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked 7.4 7.4
    Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 250GB 5.7 | Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 1TB 5.9 (size counts?)

More so than size is the read/write speed. The only way to get above a 5.9 on HDD is to get an SSD. otherwise, dont pay attention to this score that much you have a great system.

You can get a 7.8 with a single Intel X25M, but you will need two in Raid 0 for a 7.9, Downside you can not use TRIM with raid yet, But GC seems to be working.

In relation to my past posts about my WEI, someone from Microsoft forums answered my question.. Here's his answer about my inquiry...

    Hi
The WEI score has no effect on the performance of the system.
The WEI is good enough to be able to tell if a particular graphics card will meet the Aero requirements, but beyond that it is not a real accurate performance measuring tool.
See this article: Engineering the Windows 7 “Windows Experience Index”

"The WEI was introduced in Windows Vista to provide one means across PCs to measure the relative performance of key hardware components. Like any index or benchmark, it is best used as a relative measure and should not be used to compare one measure to another. Unlike many other measures, the WEI merely measures the relative capability of components."

    Hope this helps.

I hope this helps out some people who are experiencing the same problem I do with my WEI..

I get a 7.8 with one and a 7.9 with two, on HDD score with a I-7 920 and a 4.3 OC,6G of redline running at about 1624,and 2 ( 295's ) for quad SLI, From what I understang it would take 2 more cores, and 4 more threads with a 4.5 OC to bring CPU up .1 to 7.8 at the cost of about $1100, and that a 7.9 is still not possible.

i make you right there, but i don't understand this wei thing, because i used the windows wei and got a 7.8 on my SSD. then used the blackbox app. that i think uses the wei. and got a 7.9? as i think the blackbox tool runs a better test.

    give it a try..
