At first my HDD score was 3.0 and then made the change mentioned and it improved. Another two gigs of memory would be nice. Here is my score:

An SSD RAID would probably take you over 6.0.

    Raid 5

Raid 5 with 5 10,000 rpm raptors and a PCI X raid card 64 bit only get it too 5.9.

Two of those with tax are $629.98, and I assume you mean placing them in RAID 0... I'm not sure I'm ready to go that far yet, or drop that amount of cash on two 60GB Drives... However, when the price/size ratio becomes more tolerable, yes.

ok so this hardware raid or software raid (since you didnt post the model # i cant tell)??

It is also important to notice that cards from RocketRAID 2000 series aren’t 100% hardware-based –some processing is still done by the system CPU and that is why they are also called “software RAID” cards. Only cards from RocketRaid 3000 family are 100% hardware-based and that is why they are more expensive. Hardware-based cards also provide on-board memory cache to increase performance, which also increases the final price. Just as an example, RocketRAID 3510 also features four SATA ports but costs around USD 300, more than double – this other card is 100% hardware-based, has 256 MB memory cache and supports RAID 6
either way im shocked (and thanks for proving me wrong...)

I'm getting a 6.0 with a single hard drive. I'm not too sure that 5 RAID 0's wouldn't take you any higher.
