Managed to raise the overclock on my video card higher and have the test still finish.

Seems a 4.0 WEI is not to be reached with my video card, though I got it incredibly close. Have to say that's higher than I'd expect to be able to get that memory card. The x1400 Mobility is not known to be a powerful card at all. Actually, there might be a way for me to raise the WEI score for my video card a good bit more but not sure if it possible.

Display adapter type ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
Total available graphics memory 895 MB
    Dedicated graphics memory 128 MB
    Dedicated system memory 0 MB
    Shared system memory 767 MB
    Display adapter driver version 8.31.100.0
    Primary monitor resolution 1920x1200
DirectX version DirectX 9.0 or better
What determines the amount of Shared System Memory that the video card can use and is there any way to adjust that amount from its default of 767 MB?

By the way, I found that the Vista drivers seem to perform better for the Nvidia cards!

are you sure the wddm1.1 drivers are better than 182.08? i never bothered with them, ill look around and see what i can dig up.

just upgraded to 7057 x64, no issues wile upgrading though it took its time compared to a fresh install.

quad sli is poo, trust me i got it. just a single gtx260 beats quad sli. all they are are 9800gt's mounted together. sure it looks sexy, but thats all it is. i bought the quad setup then about a month later they released the gtx260 and i kicked myself. that was $1500aud down the wee wee. i can play crysis and farcry 2 maxed out in graphics including AA BUT i need to run the lowest screen resolution to play it. lol but i still enjoy the gaming either way. and i need to run the fans at 100% other wise the temps get over 80c. seen them hit just over 100c at some points with default 45% fan.

what you want is gtx295 sli, or the slow upcoming gtx350 (if they ever get there) thats if you got the money to blow.

anywho here is my new WEI with 7057. my ram went up yay

True heard things about quad not reaching its expected potential or something or what most people expect it to do.

hows your gpu? will i notice much differences if I upgrade my 7800gt to a 9800?

the best way to do it is go to the nvidia site, and do a comparison, there are alot of cards that have the same specs but higher clocks, which you can adjust yourself (nvid control panel or rivatuner)

another major factor is your budget, how much you wanna spend and how much are your local suppliers ripping you? go to their site, make a list in order then shop around for the list so you can see what you can afford. they have released some new 100 series too. dunno why though as they seem the same as some other cards specs?

edit: 100series are not for individual purchase as they are OEM units, maybe ebay? (or wait till the economy levels out and us auzzies get a descent aud to usd rate) got my first 9800gx2 from ebay US...memories.
