Here's another one for you to laugh at ...

I got a 7.9 memory WEI score which is ludicrous. Sure I'm fairly OC'ed, but there's still ways to go faster. I'm clocking my 6GBs at DDR3-1627 / 8-8-8-22, and I get good speed, but this is definitely not the top of the heap, yet here is my genuine 7.9 score compliments of MS, absolutely no hacking ...

The algorithm definitely needs refining ...

PS - OK I just checked out that other "7.9" score you were talking about. That DOES look like a hack .

DJ - I do not recall where I read a detail regarding WEI calculation, but I do recall that, at some point, it is quantity over quality. 4GB of the fastest RAM will not score 7.9

But 6GB of slower RAM will??!

OK, I can see a weighed calculation between speed & #GBs, but me being at 7.9 with my configuration seems rather overtly generous .

Having said that, thanks MS! I now feel I don't have to do any more work on my memory OC!

PS - I should confess I HAVE spent hours messing with the various parameters to get a stable fast memory set up.

    I am surprised that 6GB rates 7.9

Nice platform, no matter how slow it is ?!?

Does it have a roaster onboard?

See my specs. I have 5 raptors in a raid 5, and ecc memory I could improve memory for lots of money and drives for even more. score 5.9
using Windows 7 RTM stable with photoshop 4 extended used for photo editing and storage. Office 2007, Office 2010 Outlook 64 bit crashed and required a total reinstall of operating system to remove

You are a creature of questionable motives. And yet, your strange and and somewhat unfathomable logic does appear have some alluring aspects ...

Well, nobody's going to accuse you of underpowering your rig . Are those redundant / failover PSUs?

No, I had issues with under power 750 watt, video card and system crashes with early betas of vista. to correct I added second power supply 1000 watt leaving first to power board, and some of drives other powers video and remaining drives. yes over kill and impossible to move double case is pretty heavy but power is not causing blue screens. I have reached the end of where this systemm will go. it is functional, pretty fast and stable. I do photography and printing not a gamer. Next one will be a MAC
