Here's my WEI for an old (over 3 years old) Dell Dimension 9150:

Admittedly it's not the original hardware - the motherboard is fairly well maxed out with an upgraded Pentium D processor and 4GB RAM, and the GFX card is now an NVidia 8800GT rather than the original 6600.

Windows 7 is as smooth as silk, and I'm looking forward to a further extension in my desktops usable life as a result (it's running smoother than the original XP SP1 install now I think).

could somebody post their WEI file(.xml) so i could copy it to the DataStore folder...because my system crashes when it calculates the score.....my geforce 2 mx drivers supports windows xp only....that's why it crashes everytime..thanks
umm what you can do is
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools\Advanced Tools
go here and then go to
"Clear all WinEI scores and re-rate the system"
if that doesnt work then your system cant run the Wei

I'd post mine, but surely you all can picture a vivid "2.0".

WEI keeps rating my disk performance as 2.0, in Vista it's the highest (5.9, right?). My system scores maximum scores on Vista.. yet my system yields a 2.0 for disk performance on W7, I wonder why.

That's exactly my problem on both of my machines running 64 bit windows 7. The destop has Q9300 quad - 8 gig of ram to 500 gig sata drives and Nvidoa GEFORCE 9800 GT.
It used to run max numbers on Vista 64 bit and now the HD brings it all down to rating of 2.
I am hoping it's bug as the system is running lightning fast and absolutely faster and more stable than Vista ever did.
I don't see other people having this problem ecept a few of us. So I would like to know from those who have had their rating drop what the might think the reasons may be.

    Thanks

You're the first person I've met that has this issue too

I'm gonna go ahead and say it's a bug, because my disk drive functions fine under Linux and Vista. Also, my video card scores a lower score on W7 too -- a 5.3, compared to a 5.9 on Vista, I wonder why

How is W7 Installed? Dual boot? Clean disk? new partition? etc.
