As best I can determine, the Aero score is related to the graphics adapter and/or video memory. I had a low Aero score and I installed a new graphics card and my score improved.

Hi Restrada, I used this guide to enable it, worked like a dream.

    Hello ZaLiTH.

I've been wanting to do this and I have now, thanks!

This is a 80GB X25M G2, it started at 7.5 but went to 7.4 after being used for a while, I enabled AHCI today and the score went to 7.7

    Attachment 52357
That is exactly what happened to me so its normal I guess after a brief period of usage. Staying at 7.7 with AHCI!

Here's mine, my lowest being my Graffix card, Im not to concerned about it though as I don't play any games, just mess with Photoshop on occasion, a 1GB Graffix card is killer for me...

    Hello negativesilent.

As long as there is an option in the BIOS for AHCI you should be able to; have a look at this link.
