now now just because you almost have the cake doesnt mean you can become too hot headed, maybe you need to strap a thermalrite ultra 120xtreme to your head and a push pull setup. lmao

edit: it is a really low hdd score tho ay.
Probably because it's a 1tb drive partitioned into 4 parts.. but damn, there is no way my 10gb xbox drive should show that up :S And my drive is full ffs, win 7 = entire drive

Also is it possible for CPUs to lose power over time..? its performing like a 300mhz machine. Climbs to 100% at the hint of processing data.

it has been overclocked and has seen temperatures excess of 100 degrees C. She's a battler.

It sounds like you're OC is burning up the CPU.

As you can see my current windows 7 version is 32bit, while I have 6gigs of RAM. I installed the 32bit version because at the moment microsoft released the beta I didn't have my new pc yet, so i downloaded the 32bit version on my old computer and forgot to also download the 64bit version.

Is my score going to improve if I install the 64bit version?

100c JESUS! dood i had to replace my cpu fan in my acer travelmate, its not even suited for my model, doesnt spin as fast and never hits above 80c even if you block the vents off. but my rule with laptops are, you always have to watch temps with them, as you sit them on your lap you tend to accidentally block the vents, same as if you sit it on any form of material like a bed, sofa. i just use real temp for both the lappy and my main rig, and trained the gf to look at it every now and again to check it. but 100c i would guess it may have done some extra wear and tear. mind you my celeron m in the acer has a 105c TJMax, so do some googling and find the TJMax for you cpu!

edit: my hdd is a 1tb seagate, partitioned into 4, win vista, win 7, part for pagefile and the extra part it creates when installing the o/s. i got 5.9, windows 7 gets a burst rate of 210mb/s in the hardware manager test and hdtune gets a max of 180mb/s +/- 10mb on either test due to spin up. just because a drive may be bigger in capacity, does not always mean it will be slower, my scores are close to some good drives out there and mine is a 40ns, origanally designed for server 24/7 use with higher fail times (lasts longer than a standard drive being in a 24/7 environment). i also have a cheap 250gb samsung, that scores lower in speed but still got over 5 when i tested win7 on it.

i was going to suggest maybe the drive is in sata1 mode (1.5gb/s) but its a laptop (unless its like my acer and is a ata drive? tho i doubt being a c2duo) and i dont think you can change between sata1 and 2 with laptops.

you will see a higher score if you move to x64 cos it will allow for full memory access in the test (i think) im using 7057 and its great, no flaws with this build i have found. but there is like, 7077 and higher now i think. just research the latest leaked beta version and find which is newer, but i think they release the RC build soon in May.

Strange, can WEI scores not lower? I underclocked the hell out of my GPU because I wanted 'the cake', but it's not lowering the score at all.

Cake machine does not have a GPU. Your attempts are useless.

LMAO!! Monga is protective of the Cake is he yes? the WEI is based on the actual grfx card, not the speeds, i think if i overclock the crap out of my 98gx2's i get an extra .1 point...wow. and the cake goes to a legitimate old school system, but in particular needs a low hdd score... not a score of 4. lol
