    Adding a win. user - affects performance?

    Hi!

    I am having an old (3 yrs) lptp (hp pavilion g6) and want to do some music editing work. nothing fancy just a hobby.

    Seeing as my lptp is a bit sluggish as it is, i thought of creating a "music" user for better performance when i do the music editing.

    Is this the right thing to do?

    Thnx man..

    It would'nt make a difference.

    Possibly buy an external Harddrive, to put all your music on it

    @HarriePateman
    Thanks for your quick reply1

    I wasn't talking about the music gigs, rather the poor performance i get when i use the software (ableton, cubase etc.)

    Let the CPU breath better :)

    Making a new account wouldn't improve performance.

    Adding RAM Would help ECT...

    If you could fill in your system Specs, i will be more then happy to help you.
