    DBAN Time?

I recently screwed over my computer, and, long story short, had to use DBAN to reinstall Windows 7. I started with "autonuke" about 24 hours ago, and it still hasn't finished. The screen is filled with (something) resembling code, which is what I assuming is being erased. If someone can tell me how long this usually takes or if I'm missing something, that'd be great.

I have 3 hard drives being erased, 1 pass each. 2 hard drives are 120GB, 1 is about 1TB.

Why DBAN? Unless you are selling or donating it, I don't see why DBAN is needed.
The few times I've used it I just let it run for a minute or so on each disk to wipe the enough that Windows installer thinks it's a raw, unallocated, unformatted disk.

To do this with autonuke, you need to connect only one disk at a time.

Stopped DBAN, Windows 7 is now installing easily. Thank you for relieving my concerns.

In hindsight, I probably overreacted waaaay too much.

You're welcome. Glad the re-install is going well.
