HDD usage very high even on idle

It appears my HDD usage is very high even on idle. What information do I need to provide in order to receive help?

First bit of information we need. Are you facing any problems other than supposed "high usage" of [insert resource here].

Or is your computer running just fine and now we are chasing geese?

Well... Okay. But are you actually having any trouble using your computer? Or just looking at Resource Monitor and thinking you are having a problem?

From what I see, get rid of steam and your problems will go away.

Get rid of steam? Why? Cause Malwarebytes is scanning its directory at this time? And what problem are you talking about?

Sorry about that. Don't know why but I focused on steam and completely missed mbam as the executable.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

It looks like mbamservice is the one doing the most hard drive accesses, which I would think is normal if it's doing a scan.
