    Windows 7 computer freezes

I have Windows 7 upgraded from Vista. Now my computer freezes anytime I stop working on it for 10 minutes or more. This never happened with Vista.

For any help thats more than wild guessing we need to know your systems specs to see if its a hardware problem.

    Press Windows Key+R
    Type msconfig

And then fill in your system spec via user cp (beside new posts and under the search bar,top right of this window)

The most common cause of a "freeze" is overheating. Try an app like Core Temp to get a temp reading.

As this freeze happens at approx 10 minutes from use I would suspect the trigger of the event is possibly the power saving functionality - either the screen saver causing a problem in the graphics driver or the screen blank system causing issues with the motherboard drivers. Both of these functions are by default set on a ten minute timer.

As said above however full system specs would assist in diagnosis and solution
