    Another Sleep/Hibernate Question

I have read many posts here regarding sleep vs hibernate and most detail these functions very well. However, one very simple item of interest, to me, I have not encountered is the power expenditure (or savings if you prefer) for sleep and for hibernate given in percentage.

    Hibernate uses zero power.

The amount of power sleep uses depends on what hardware you have, motherboard, amount of RAM, etc. For sleep, only enough power is used to keep the RAM alive to maintain the stored data for restart and a small amount to allow for restarting the system.

I'd go with pbcopter's answer. Hibernation saves the machine state and Turn off the computer. So 0%

thx pbcopter/JBmorris - Both configs return the system to the exact same pre-sleep/hib state I believe. Yeah, I should have reasoned that 0% power consumption would be the 'hibernate' result. As to sleep? Well, given all the variables, is it safe to assume a 'ballpark' power consumption state of <50%? <25%? ...

If I had to guess, I 'd say in the single digit percentage.
