TempFileCleaner is small (only 438kb), and will safely remove your junk/temp files in assorted locations....(not for Win8/8.1, however)

Sounds like you've ordered another spinner for your larger OS drive correct? Why don't you place that hdd elsewhere and get a ssd drive, you'll thank us for that upgrade and it's speed will reward you immediately and for years after, side benefits are quite, cool and lower energy plus more reliable !
With only an 80GB hard drive, does the system in question even have SATA ports for supporting a hypothetical SSD? (many systems from pre-2006 did not)
(Have you shrunken the recycle bin to 3% vice it's default 10% of space? (This alone might reclaim 5-6 GB)
OP's spec's indicate a sata based drive system. But the first thing I thought of was a workstation IDE drive as 80gb was the standard.
That is a good question. It may be an IDE disk. There are IDE SSDs but they are expensive and if I am not mistaken I think they do not have Trim. The IDE bus also works at a much lower speed which would make it questionable.

I believe that my posted system specs are all correct.
The computers original MB, from 12/2010, was purchased at a time that Newegg had nothing but glowing reviews on the product. Virtually at the same time I bought it, disturbing reviews started appearing, and sure enough a year, almost to the day after I bought it, the board blew and took the processor with it.
In the interest of "dancing with the girl who brung me," I got the same MB again - just RMA'd the original one - and a new processor, and they've been working fine since December 2011.
I think when I installed the O/S originally, I was using less than half the 80 gig hard drive.
Virtually everything else goes on the two mirrored data drives I have; the C drive is for O/S and program files, and user profiles.
The new drive I'm getting is this one: Western Digital WD Blue WD1600AAJS 160GB 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - Newegg.com
Nothing fancy or sexy, but should do the trick, and I can't see my disk usage expanding enough to come close to filling that one.
Why would you be spending any money on such a slow drive when you can get a SSD for a few bucks more. The SSD access time (and that's what counts for the OS) is 150 times faster than for this HDD.The new drive I'm getting is this one: Western Digital WD Blue WD1600AAJS 160GB 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - Newegg.com
Man I'm sorry we didn't chat before you placed that order. Do yourself a huge favor and return it un-opened even if you are charged a 15% restock and then buy this drive !
