You'd be a fool to do a system restore if things are going well and you are the only person who can make that judgement.
You get to do as you like. You're driving.
All we are doing is giving you options.

I suppose I should be grateful that I received any assistance. So I thank you for the help. I'll keep an eye on my computer, and look up a few guides for backing up saved games off Steam. Regardless of whether I'm driving or not, it looks like this is something that is just a dreaded inevitability. Before we come to closing this thread, I have questions about improving my build.
My New Years resolution for 2015 is to build a computer, with gaming as the main purpose. I'd have to start from scratch, find a proper case, and make sure the parts fit, a cooling fan for vigorous multitasking, a good GPU, and so on. My friend actually finished building his computer last year, and offered to help. But what would you suggest out of the three options? This is something I've had planned for quite a few years.
Should I just upgrade my current PC? Is that something I could even do? Should I just buy a PC from Alienware(The more expensive option), or just build my own? Either way, I intend on educating myself and upgrading. As you mentioned, this PC isn't exactly a powerhouse, and I need a powerhouse. I've always done more PC gaming than console gaming.
