Windows 7 Pro. 64/SP-1

logicearth your method would surly take the worry away.
Like I said before.

Chasing a few MB of ram usage can be very fruitless.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

My only concern is if these svchost processes inflate so much into the multiple gigabyte ranges, since they only seem to be getting bigger.

Windows 10 Pro (x64)

When you get to 90% Memory Usage, then you can start worrying about. Trying to be preemptive will only cause more issues and likely just kill the performance of your machine.

Understand, using memory does not make the computer slow it makes it faster. Trying to reduce memory usage is the opposite of what you want. More memory usage == better performance. (Generally for those nit-pickers)
