Can't get DVDs to play on the main monitor

My PC has two monitors. The primary one is widescreen; the secondary is ...square. I play DVD movies on the primary monitor. That is, I used to.

Lately, movies automatically start up on the secondary screen. I don't know why -- I must have done something wrong.

I need help/advice in how to instruct the computer to open DVD movies on the primary monitor. (It wouldn't hurt to learn what I did to screw it up to begin with.)

Hi have you tried opening them up on secondary then move to the primary then close it from the primary and then start a new one does it go to the primary?

Thanks. I tried to drag & drop. The trouble is, the movie is already running. There's no place to get hold of it to move it over to the primary.

I have not tried disconnecting a monitor. I don't see how that would address my problem. The computer isn't opening DVDs on the primary monitor the way it used to.l

well my thinking is if it opens on the primary when the second one is disconnected it might stay on the primary when the second monitor is hooked back up. make sure you power down before disconnecting and connecting monitors. i am not home to try on my computer at the moment. can you not minimise the movie and drag it over to the other monitor?

OK -- I minimized the movie, dragged it to the other monitor, closed it, started it up again and voila! It works as it should! Thank you, ocer1. Not being the brightest bulb on the string, I didn't realize that I could minimize the movie. :)
