taskbar/desktop issues, also chrome problems

so I've just started having some weird problems with windows 7.

it started up fine, but then I couldn't launch any icons, whether it was in the start bar, task bar, or desktop. so i restart, and it's fine again for a little while, but I try to play a game and it tells me I need to clear my cache. i use google chrome, and when I tried to clear it, I got a weird message about it reaching maximum or something. and then it crashes.

I try the taskbar again and nothing works. all the icons are there, but they don't load. and then, some of the already open windows stop working.

also, as a note, when I try to restart it gives me a black screen.

i'm running a boot-time scan now but I haven't seen anyone with these set of issues and would like to know what's going on?

I would try running it in Safe Mode or after a Clean Boot for a while. If the problem isn't there, chances are something is loading during a full boot that is the cause.

Hi, I am working on a laptop with Win 7 x64 Home Premium, SP1. It was recently pretty badly infected, but has been thoroughly cleaned, and all additional bloatware uninstalled. I am unable to unlock the taskbar, nor able to pin any shortcuts to it. There's also a strange folder that keeps...

Taskbar has inherited taskbar problems
This computer is about a year old now and it's starting to feel like the old one. The taskbar often locks up even though it's set to autohide and conversely often fails to appear when I mouse over the bottom of the screen (gotta hit the Windows key). It's kind of random, and going to properties and...

Chrome - Taskbar Right Click?
Hi, I recently re-installed Windows 7 on my home computer. I use Google Chrome as my default browser, and before I re-installed 7, I could right click the Chrome icon on my taskbar, and there would be a list of options (new incognito window, or something of this sort). Now, however, there aren't...
