    Error code 1935 and HRESULT: 0x80070003 and MS Support advice


    Hi, I really hope someone can help.

    I have the errors when trying to install Corel Video Studio (]Video-editing software - VideoStudio Ultimate X8

    It starts and fails generating the error codes.
    Product: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable -- Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processo rArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070003. assembly interface: IAssemblyCache, function: CreateAssemblyCacheItem, component: {97F81AF1-0E47-DC99-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}

    Which seems a common issue, I tried loads of things based on MS help options and then connected with a MS tech support who ran system internals and pointed me at the attached yellow highlighted area saying it was the cause of my issue, but to fix it would cost me $90 to enroll.
    I have declined this as i am very, very unsure.

    Please can someone help me with both these issues?

    I'm no expert on such matters but I did find this from Microsoft.

    Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) from Official Microsoft Download Center


    System Requirements
    Supported Operating System

    Windows 2000 Service Pack 3, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Service Pack 2
    I'm not sure why Corel Video Studio would want that particular old version of Visual C++ on a Windows 7/64 Pro.

    Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz Processor or AMD Dual Core 2.0 GHz Processor (Intel Core i5 or i7 Processor, or AMD Phenom II X6 or X8 Processor recommended)
    Microsoft Windows 8 or Windows 7 with latest service packs installed (32-bit or 64-bit editions)
