sfc /scannow Unable to repair files
Hello everyone. I need some guidance on my current issue for my laptop.
Step 1. I open the command prompt (ran as administrator) & use the following command: "sfc /scannow"
to scan for any errors.
The result was the following:
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"
Then I use: find str/c: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log>sfcdetails.txt
but sfcdetails.txt came out empty.
Step 2. After some research, I found out you need run "DISM" on cmd to fix any errors if the first step wasn't able to.
The result for this was the following:
" Error: 87
The restorehealth option is not recognized in this context. For more information refer to the help.
The DISM log file can be found C:/Windows/Logs/DISM/dism.log "
I have provided both CBS and DISM log files in the following links:
1. CBS
2. DISM
Forgot to mention, the reason why I started doing all this is because I was suggested since I'm having trouble installing 3 windows update.
1. Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3033929)
2. Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3035131)
3. Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3046049)
I get the following error code: 800F0900
The Windows 7 software seems to be running without any problems. The only issue is with the windows update. But who knows, it might be having other problems that it hasn't made an impact yet to notice it.
Should I be concern about my current situation ? Please let me know
Thanks.
