There is a faint graphic on my desktop ? pic attached..

This (faint rectangular grey pain with forward and back arrows) is on the monitor 1 Hannspree HF225 (of 3) desk top. I never noticed it before today. Hovering over "show desktop" rectangle in corner of main monitor taskbar makes it go away (temporarily of course). So it is "part" of something. PRoblem is I have no idea what... ! argh I want it to go away !

Refresh doesnt work, turn monitor off and on--no go. Oh the arrows aren't selectable or do anything.

    Any ideas ?

That seems to be a pretty obvious graphic so it probably hasn't been on the screen all that long. Perhaps a system restore might work.

Before you get into system restoring business, do you mind downloading this tool by Microsoft and taking a screenshot of it's window. Make two screenshots if something won't fit in one.

Wow, there is a lot going on. :)

But regarding our issue please consider killing Alert helper or it's parent process AI Suite II by Asus (the only black icons in the middle of first screenshot).

Wow ! As soon as I exited that process, problem solved. The problem immediately went away. Of course using this alot I immediately reopened it and no problem. I just wonder why it left behind that remnant last time I used it. Strange.

But thanks a ton for having the inclination that was the process causing the problem. Even though I had a djusted the contrast, brightness, gamma so I could barely see just the arrows, it would have always bugged me.

    You are welcome.
I see that it is originated by Task Scheduler, so it might pop up again depending on how it was configured there.
