SFC.exe - How seriously should I take this report?

    Hey All,

I have run 'system file checker' from an elevated command prompt in windows 7. The command I used was the standard 'sfc /scannow'.

The report stated words to the effect 'windows found corrupt files, but was unable to fix some of them'.

My system is running healthy and fine. How seriously should I be taking these 'corrupt files'?

Would anybody here with a healthy system, be able to give me a 'sanity check' by running sfc and reporting whether or not they also have a report stating that corrupt files were found?

Any help will be rewarded with some good old forum rep :)

    Kind Regards,
    Eldar

I have removed and then hid KB3022345 without any problems.
SFC / SCANNOW works as it should.

So glad for the above posts and link! I experienced the identical situation, and it's good to know there's no real problem.

I think the facts are that you may or may not have corrupted files. If the indication is due to the update, then it's likely not an issue. But, if you have additional issues, you wouldn't be able to know, and could be lulled into a false sense of security that your system is running normal.

I just ran the SFC and have the same issue. I've read the tech articles and it appears that I have the problem update as well as the update that is supposed to fix the issue. What's the solution now?

    Uninstall and hide the update.

KB3068708 is supposed to fix the issue, but I've got it installed and I still have issues with the SFC results.

Is SFCFix still valid for any left over corruption after installing KB3068708? Anyone know?
