I have had this annoying problem where my laptop randomly freezes and I'm not really sure why . I thought it might have been chrome, so I switched to Firefox, seemed fine but happened again, also it happened today while I was just scanning my laptop with malwarebytes. Any suggesitons/solutions to this issue , annoyingly my laptop froze while I wrote this :P . Please help, any help/suggestion is appreciated and please be patient with me as I follow your guidance in trying to resolve this issue. Thank you.

By freeze, you mean nothing works, right? No mouse or keyboard or display updates?

    When did this start happening?

Does it happen if you boot to Safe Mode and safe Mode with Networking by pressing F8 when you see the manufacturers logo and continue to tap it every second or so until you get the Advanced Boot Options Menu.

In safe mode it does not happen, it started around a week ago, by freeze I mean, screen frozen and only option is to hard reboot (hold power button) as I can't do anything else :P

Okay, that's maybe good news as it indicates something is start when you boot normally that is causing the problem. Try doing a Clean Boot:

Perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your game or program

I've tried it but can't seem to narrow down any services that could be the cause of the problem :P

Your first step is to see if it will stop acting when all startup items are disabled, including non-Microsoft services.

Narrowing down will be the next step.

If it doesn't stop acting with everything disabled, then try a new user account - User Account - Create

Ok, thanks, I'll test to see if it freezes with all start up items disabled and I'll back to you if anything happens
