    HD memory on laptop vanishing without trace


    Hi everyone. I hope this is posted in the right place.

    I've got a really bad problem with my laptop memory. It vanished without trace in seconds/minutes even when i don't download anything or even load anything up.

    Case in point. I deleted an avi movie file that was 480mb to free up that space and several seconds later my laptop said I have 315mb free.........then minutes later it was 15mb and then now it's displaying 0mb and I can't open some programs like Skype as it says 'disc full'.

    I really don't know what's happening. Does anyone know a possible fix for this? Thanks.

    Windows needs at least 10-15% of a partition free to work properly.
    As a starter run Disk Cleanup - Windows 7 SP1 Disk Cleanup Tool - don't forget to click Clean up System Files and clean everything

    Download and run WizTree (portable link in same page) - https://antibody-software.com/web/so...ur-hard-drive/
    It will show which files/folders take the most space. Try moving your movies/music/pictures to another drive/partition.
