Thanks for the feedback. Honestly not so sure why. I followed a tutorial on how to install Windows 7 with a USB key so that's why.

Is that the problem?

Hi,
I have no idea all of my system reserved partitions are ntfs if I have the 100mb partition
I now do not create a partition to install windows on and the installer does not create the 100mb partition and after the install I shrink it with disk management and if I want to shrink it more I use Mini tool free

There's really no need for a system reserved partition at all and most people will not have one.
But I believe it might be a reason to look into further
I have not seen an easy way to reformat it yet seems a clean install without creating a partition to install on is the easiest way to not get the 100mb partition or at least for me :/

Thank you. I will work on this reserved partition see if I can remove it safely or I will reinstall although not so keen on doing that as it is a production computer currently being used.

Not sure this is worth doing it seems a clean install is easier to translate

When I install Windows 7 on a UEIF motherboard I get the 100mb EFI System.

Thanks Jack I did not on my new builds install possibly if I made a partition to install on I might of not that I wanted one I really did not want any 100mb partition and thankfully didn't get one at all
So I guess we can rule that out as the issue :/

My Acer's 100 mb is ntfs of course it has legacy bios.

Looking at post #9.

With all those Startups and Non Microsoft services running, any one of them could cause a slow shut down.

My system.

As stated in the OP all non Microsoft services and startup items were also disabled. The same problem persists.
