Hi ICIT it appears that I have now fixed the issue ... well sort of

It was the windows updates causing the problem and like you said I have quite and old computer and the svchost.exe process was using up all system resources on the bloody updates so I disabled the process and now everything has returned to satisfactory level

Good job mate at the moment it seems that the updates are all over the shop and it seems to have started with the the release of 10 - I stand to be corrected though. Now if you take my advice I would set the updates to let you know but let you decide which to download and install especially if you want to avoid that Windows 10 stuff the KB 3035533 is one in particular to avoid because if you install it - it will nag the life out of you . Beware though there are more

Hmm Raihan mate I personally don't use (like a lot of other members here) to use anything but CCleaner for doing that https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

If people want to use that MRY cleaner (batch file), they need to understand what it is removing. I would not be happy with that cleaner. I don't want anything to remove all files from c:\temp\.

Also, the file is hosted on MediaFire. That is not the safest place to be downloading files from.
