SFC - Indicates Problems & System Restore Didn't Fix

I was attempting to burn a DVD with ImgBurn and the system appeared to freeze with constant hdd activity. I reset the system and noticed a slow boot to the desktop. I ran SFC /Scannow and the SFC indicated problems that it couldn't repair. I performed a System Restore and the system indicated that the System Restore was successful, but a subsequent SFC /Scannow indicated otherwise.

SFC indicates the CBS log recorded the files it couldn't repair. The most recent CBS log, compressed in a zip folder, is attached below.

    Windows Logs:

Application - two errors recorded since last start:

Level: Error, Source: WMI, Event ID: 10

General: The description for Event ID 10 from source Microsoft-Windows-WMI cannot be
found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your
local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the
    component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to
    be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    //./root/CIMV2

SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA
    "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99

General: The program Acrobat.exe version 9.5.5.316 stopped interacting with Windows
and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check
the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

Is there a fix for this other than a repair install?

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

I ran SFC /Scannow /offbootdir /offwindir about seven times then effected a second System Restore from the next previous restore point. Then, after reboot, I ran the SFC command again. These tasks were accomplished from the repair cmd prompt window as well as the System Restore from the repair menu. Attached is the CBS log which contains entries from these most recent attempts to repair this system.
