    sfc /scannow unable to fix corrupt files and dism error 87


    Hello everyone (first time poster, long time lurker),

    I am having some problems with my laptop (pelase let me know if I need to post more specs):


    HP EliteBook 8460p
    • Processor = Intel Core i5-2520M CPU @ 2.50GHz
    • Installed Ram = 4 GB
    • System Type = 64-bit OS
    • BIOS Version = HP 68SCF Ver. F.08, 8/26/2011
    I ran sfc /scannow, and it says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log".

    After doing some googling, I read to run: dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth . Now this gives me "error: 87" and referred me to the dism.log (which I have attached along with the sfc /scannow log). That has left me with no clue as to what to do. I am a fairly knowledgeable about computers, but nowhere near this degree (however, I can follow well made tutorials ). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've run it 3 times but it still can't fix files. I've also tried to place the sfcdetails.txt file on my desktop but after running the necessary elevated command prompt there's no file on my desktop. Any help appreciated.
Hello, I just updated installed the following updates and now I've got SFC issues. KB3138901 KB3139923 KB3137061 KB3133977 I don't know if the problem is due to the updates or something else.
I made 3 scans using Sfc /Scannow but still the corrupted files are there, so I used the Option Three using the CBS.log but then I not that techie to understand which files are corrupted that are stated at the sfcdetails.txt file

hi all, i am running windows 7 professional 64 bit. i tried running sfc/scannow and windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix. the cbs.log file is attached. can i get some suggestions what to do next.?
