Yes it is but I'm having a problem with this from your log.

    Windows Product ID: 00359-112-9988107-85866
This is what I find about it.

112 - Retail Windows 7 Home Premium (conflicting info says MSDN)

I will go to the ranch and see if I can find someone that can give advice.

    Hi
The best way to test your activation key is to use it to get a iso of win-7 from M$

It is activated, for over 4years now. I don't have a issue with activation. In fact i can't get my pc to restart to the desktop now. I'm posting from my phone. So I may have to do a install or repair install

OK for starters the cbs log is pointing to,

    1) KB2712808 if it is installed please uninstall it.
    2) C++ program please uninstall this as well.
(If you need it for a program your comp will tell you)
    3) Its also having trouble identifying your location, reset them.

OOps see your having bigger problem
    Boot via safe mode
Not sure if changing the above will clear problems as system needs to be in normal mode, to ensure correct configuration

What do you get error wise in safe mode.

Ok, I'm in safe mode with command prompt. Running sfc scan again. And i am logged in from my laptop now. My desktop goes all the way to letting the icons come up on the desktop , but they never do and the screen is black. So not sure what is going on there now. Is there anyway to do a repair install from safe mode with command prompt? Or is there a way to boot windows with the win7 dvd?

Well. im out of safe mode. I back in normal mode. I get to the windows splash screen (i guess its called) right before my desktop comes up. When it goes to switch to my desktop the screen is just black, nothing comes up. But i can hit cnt, alt, delete and a screen comes up like the one in safe mode when you hit the cnt, alt, delte. I guess i am just at the point of a new install. which i hate to do, there is alot of stuff i will loose. Any ideas? I am stuck now.
