hdd constantly spinning
So, I installed windows7 pro x86 3 weeks ago and everything worked fantastic. I decided to try out x64 last night to use all 4g of ram and possibly add more. Now my boot ups take longer and my hdd seems to be constantly spinning, light is solid or rapidly blinking and everything seems to be slower. I put in a 4g flash for ready boost still slow. Chrome and IE8 freeze constantly. I watch netflix a lot and with 32bit quality was perfect, last night with 64bit and hdd spinning quality suffered for about 35 mins then magically it sounded like my system shutdown (the hdd finally stopped) and quality immediately improved along with web browser performance. I can't figure out what my hdd would be doing for this long. Can't help but think I may have ruined a good thing by trying x64, should I go back to x86. Thanks for all the info on this forum and any help you can give.
