Windows Cannot Repair This Computer Automatically (On Startup)

New to the forum. Hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have NO system restore points. This is my fault

When I start my computer it seems like it's failing to load the operating system. A window appears that says - Windows Cannot Repair This Computer Automatically. I've run one test I found in another forum - chkdsk c: /r /x. This is what came up -

    Root cause found
Boot manager failed to find OS loader

    Repair action: File repair
Result: Failed. Error Code = 0x490
Repair action: Boot configuration data store repair. Error Code = 0x490

As its a custom build id just go for a straight reinstall with your disk.

Thanks for the response Roy. I'm trying to keep all of the files I currently have on the hard drive.

    - I've tried putting my windows 7 operating disk in but it's not reading it and goes straight to the (Windows Cannot Repair This Computer Automatically) screen.
    - Tried going into safe mode and it's not letting me.
    - When I go to the command prompt screen in (Windows Cannot Repair This Computer Automatically) window I've tried entering - bootrec/fixmbr . bootrec/fixboot and restart the computer but failed too.

This is really starting to worry me. Had some fairly important stuff on that hard drive.

So create a linux live disc and copy and paste your data to something, why aren`t you backing up your data ????

    Main Page - Linux Mint

    Or my favorite

    Zorin OS - Home

First you have to find out what`s up with your optical drive.
