How Do I Permanently Assign Higher Priority to Program?

I want Word to have high priority. I open Task Manager and find the process -> right click, and choose High Priority. But the next time I open Word (after reboot) I have to repeat this. How can I permanently assign Word = high priority?

    Thanks.

I don't think there is an internal way to handle this. I use a third party tool called Prio to do this.

Seems incredible Windows doesn't just save the setting when you go to the trouble to change it! But then... it IS Windows..! Thanks for the tip on the proggie.

Couldn't agree more. I think it's still not available on Windows 8 or 10 either. No worries. Glad you like it.
