    Disk Defragmenter Question.

In an effort to resolve slow speed problems I opened Disk Defragmenter window which states that " Only Disks Shown Can Be Defragmented", however, four disks are shown including "System" which is 35% fragmented. Can this disk be defragmented? If so, How? Incidentally Disk "C" is only 3% fragmented.

    Welcome.

The System Reserved "disk" does not need to be defragmented. It does not effect performance in any way. It may contain files in fixed positions and that is why it shows as fragmented.

You can and should defragment any hard drives you have, they say not to defrag any ssd`s.

Why is your system reserved partition showing up in Disk Defragmenter ? (if it is)

It doesn`t have a letter does it ?

Post a shot of Disk Management.
