Hi,
Well first off almost everything should be tested as unchecked in msconfig
The exception would be leaving your antivirus program checked :)
No telling what's up could be hard drive issues or clogged up cpu cooler ?

Here's a SF thread about boot time.
You can read through it and see if something in there might help you.
Boot times - how best to analyse?
ThrashZone....I did what you told me to do...I think. I rebooted later with these all unchecked but still the same slow waiting to get on. I went and bought spotmau but that didn't help either.I am really at a loss here. I thank you for trying to help me here.I made a boot disc, did scan disc and many other programs.just can't figure the hot boot and the cold boot

Hi Ron,
My bet is you've got an Iphone, and D/L pics.
Its more than likely its Apple/Bonjour/java, in conjuction with each other.
(Apple installs the other 2)
You could try going
Controlpanel>>Admintools>services> set them to manual.
right click on service > properties > use dropdown to select manual.
