Another sfc /scannow can't fix corrupted files thread (sorry)

    Hello everyone,

I hesitated to open a new thread because this topic seems to have been exhausted on these forums, but after researching/troubleshooting as much as I can on my own, I'm at a loss. I tried uninstalling the suggested Windows updates from another thread, as well as running sfc /scannow several times with a restart in between (though I later read that this does not do anything).

If someone could take a look at my CBS.log file and give me some advice, I would be very grateful. I have also included an attachment of a shortened version derived from a special command suggested elsewhere on this forum.

    Thanks for reading!

Today my computer completely froze on start-up once I got to the desktop, even before I opened any applications. The images were still there but I could not move my mouse. Last week, too, it froze for no apparent reason after an unprovoked sound started that I can only describe as similar to static. I hope its not necessary to reinstall windows. Again, I'd be really grateful if someone can take a look at my log and point me in the right direction!
