    CHKDSK question

I have tried running chkdsk /f /r from command prompt and access is denied because of insufficient privilege - "you have to invoke this utility runnning in elevated mode."

Can someone explain what this all means and how to go about running chkdsk /f /r?

    TIA
    Frank

The command is correct. But you have to open command prompt as admin. Right click on the command prompt shortcut and "Run as Admin"

Press Start - type 'cmd' - right click on cmd - run as admin
