What is the Previous Locations Box actually for?

    This is what I'm talking about.



    Seems kind of useless for navigation.

    When you actually start typing it will comes to life with previous history i believe, or an aid to type paths by hand.

    Mike,

    As logicearth posted above, you will notice the autocomplete list there after you have a history built up. The settings for this is in Internet Options below.

    Whatever it's supposed to do, I don't like it (cause it's not doing anything useful for me sitting there blank). At least there should be an option to change it to a normal navigation like XP where it showed the folder structure so one could use it to navigate instead of having to use the left side. I like options and I don't see one here. I really don't know what Microsoft was thinking to come up with the way it works now.

    Mike,

    It does show the folder structure as well. It's the same as in Vista. The tutorial below can help show in more details on what I mean though.
